URLABARI, Morang, Aug 27: Sachin Shakya, a local ward member, has been arrested on the charge of attacking a person with a knife.
Shakya was elected as ward member of Urlabari Municipality-6 in the recently held local level elections. Shakya was held on Sunday from Urlabari-4, said Inspector Ram Prasad Timalsina.
An attempted murder charge has been filed against Shakya in the district court, he said. Shakya had been on the loose since a case has been filed charging him with attacking a local footballer Bishal Tamang with a knife
