Police call ‘Bicha Bichama’ singer Durgesh for inquiry

A complaint has been lodged against singer Durgesh Thapa at the District Administration Office (DAO), Kathmandu over controversial song 'Happy Tihar, Chiso Beer’.

A complaint has been lodged against singer Durgesh Thapa at the District Administration Office (DAO), Kathmandu over controversial song 'Happy Tihar, Chiso Beer’.



Police have called Thapa for discussion after the administration's office wrote to the Metropolitan Police Crime Division, Teku to understand the matter.

Durgesh recently released the song on YouTube. Though the song garnered popularity, some of its words have been criticized.  As a result, the video has turned off the comments box on YouTube.


The complaint was filed in the DAO, quoting that the song had offended the feelings of people who celebrate Tihar.  However, DAO has not disclosed the name who lodged the complaint.


Earlier, Durgesh came into limelight from the song ‘Bicha Bichama’
