UML demands govt prevent, control dengue

KATHMANDU, Sept 21: The CPN-UML has demanded that the government prevent and control dengue. The party’s Central Secretary and Head of Health and Population Department, Yogesh Bhattarai issued a statement today and demanded the government prevent and control the dengue infection situation.

KATHMANDU, Sept 21: The CPN-UML has demanded that the government prevent and control dengue. The party’s Central Secretary and Head of Health and Population Department, Yogesh Bhattarai issued a statement today and demanded the government prevent and control the dengue infection situation.



In the statement, he has demanded coordinated action among all three levels of government and various government/non-government agencies, and easy availability of drugs such as Paracetamol. He urged community-level mobilization for mosquito control, hospital services to be expanded, manpower and budget to be increased.

He has also called on the party's various committees and mass organization and party members to contribute to the control of dengue.
