Traders held with illegal medicinal herbs

JAJARKOT, Feb 20: Police here have arrested three traders with more than two thousand kilograms of unauthorized medicinal herbs which they were taking for sale.

JAJARKOT, Feb 20: Police here have arrested three traders with more than two thousand kilograms of unauthorized medicinal herbs which they were taking for sale. 



Those held in this connection are Jagat Phadera of Sanya-1; Mangal Budha of Rodikot-4 and Santosh Khatri of Rodikot-8 of Humla district.

Police seized four tractors loaded with the medicinal herbs which were being taken for sale without the permit from the District Forest Office. The confiscated herbs include 2,000 kilograms of cinnamon leaves and 200 kilogrammes of pakhanbed. The tractors were intercepted at Chaukha Bazaar of Ragda in Jajarkot district. 


The seized medicinal herbs have been handed over to the Area Forest Office, Dalli. The medicinal herbs were being taken to Nepalgunj from Jajrkot. Those arrested have been kept in custody for interrogation. RSS
