KATHMANDU, July 15: The Supreme Court (SC) has rejected a writ petition filed by Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Bishwaraj Pokharel. The court on Friday dismissed the writ petition filed by AIG Pokharel against the appointment of IGP.
A bench of Acting Chief Justice Deepak Kumar Karki and Justice Kumar Chudal decided to dismiss Pokharel's case, according to SC spokesperson Bimal Poudel.

Earlier, a writ petition was filed by AIG Bishwaraj Pokharel of Nepal Police against the appointment of AIG Dhiraj Pratap Singh to the post of Inspector General of Police (IGP) as per the decision of the Cabinet on May 1.
