Recommendation to expel SP Bista and Inspector Bhatta

KATHMANDU, Oct 21: The Police Headquarters in Kathmandu has recommended the then Superintendent of Police (SP) Dilli Raj Bista of Kanchanpur District Police Office to relieve him from his responsibility.

KATHMANDU, Oct 21: The Police Headquarters in Kathmandu has recommended the then Superintendent of Police (SP) Dilli Raj Bista of Kanchanpur District Police Office to relieve him from his responsibility. 



The Police Headquarters has cited a gross negligence in the investigation into the case related to Nirmala Panta,13, who was raped and murdered on July 26 in Kanchanpur district.

Police spokesperson Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sailesh Thapa told the National News Agency (RSS) that Inspector General of Police Sarbendra Khanal on October 15 also sent a letter to the Ministry of Home Affairs to expel Police Inspector Jagadish Bhatta besides expelling SP Bista. 


Chances are that the MoHA could take a decision on the recommendation today, Spokesperson Thapa said. RSS
