Prisoner casts vote in Tanahun, Paul Shah could not vote

TANAHUN, Nov 20: The prisoners in the district jail Tanahun have cast their votes. They cast their votes from a temporary polling station in the prison.

TANAHUN, Nov 20: The prisoners in the district jail Tanahun have cast their votes. They cast their votes from a temporary polling station in the prison.

There are a total of 54 voters including four women in the jail. They can vote only for the candidates to be elected under Proportional Representation (PR) electoral system.


Paul Shah, who is in the district jail Tanahun, could not vote as his name is not in the voters’ list in Chitwan. He is serving a jail term on charge of raping a minor.
