KAILALI, April 5: Sudurpaschim Province Chief Minister (CM) Kamal Bahadur Shah has resigned after facing uncertainty in securing the vote of confidence from the provincial assembly.

He submitted his resignation to the Province Chief Nazir Mia on Thursday. He was present at the Province Chief's residence to submit his resignation.
Earlier, Shah had expressed his intention to seek a vote of confidence. A provincial assembly session was convened for 3 PM, but upon the Chief Minister's request, the meeting was postponed until 5 PM. Ultimately, Shah opted to resign and submitted his resignation to the Province Chief.
