KATHMANDU, Nov 9: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has removed the governors of Province 1, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces under the recommendation of the government as per Article 165 (b) of the Constitution.
A Cabinet meeting held on Monday had decided to appoint new governors in the three provinces and had forwarded the recommendation to the president.

Somnath Adhikari was serving as the governor of Province 1, while Ganga Prasad Yadav and Govinda Prasad Kalaoni were the governors of Sudurpaschim Province and Karnali Province, respectively.
