KATHMANDU, Nov 9: The government has appointed new governors for Province 1, Sudurpaschim Province, and Karnali Province.
A Cabinet meeting held on Monday recommended Parshuram Khapung as the new governor for Province 1, Tilak Pariyar for Karnali Province, and Devraj Joshi for Sudur Paschim Province. The names have already been forwarded to President Bidya Devi Bhandari for their appointment as provincial governors.

While Somnath Adhikari is currently serving as the governor of Province 1, Gangaprasad Yadav and Govinda Prasad Kalaoni are serving as the governors of Sudur Paschim Province and Karnali Province, respectively.
