KATHMANDU, June 27: Police have arrested an astrologer for swindling youths promising to send them to USA and Canada and other countries.
A team of Metropolitan Police Crime Division (MPDC) arrested Dr Punya Prasad Dangal from Thankot for conning eight youths of Rs 2.5 million.

According to police, he took the amount from them luring to send them to Japan, USA and Canada and other countries on a quota of earthquake victims.
Dangal took Rs 425,000 from Bijay Manadhar, Rs 500,000 from Mohini Talcha Mahat, Rs 200,000 from Sagun Manandhar, Rs 100,000 from Tshering Tamang and Ram Bahadur Tamang, Rs 440,000 from Khudnath Ghodasaini, Rs 300,000 from Bikash Tamang and Rs 345,000 from Sitamaya Tamang.
