Astrologer Puskar Khatiwada arrested for performing ritual with photo of PM Oli

KATHMANDU, July 29: Police have arrested Puskar Khatiwada, an astrologer and religious activist, from his residence on Monday.

KATHMANDU, July 29: Police have arrested Puskar Khatiwada, an astrologer and religious activist, from his residence on Monday.



Khatiwada was performing a ritual with photos of leaders including Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.  During the same time, police arrested him.

Navraj Adhikari, Superintendent of Police (SP) at the District Police Range Kathmandu, said that a team deployed from Metropolitan Police Circle, Maharajgunj, arrested Khatiwada.


SP Adhikari said that Khatiwada was arrested for cyber crime.


Following the arrest, Khatiwada wrote on social media, "I have just been taken to the Metropolitan Police Circle, Maharajgunj. I hope the country will change positively."
