DOLAKHA, Oct 16: Police have issued an arrest warrant against lawmaker Parbat Gurung on the charge of assaulting Birdhwaj Khadka, a local resident of Dolakha, during the local body elections held in 2017.
Gurung is a lawmaker of the Federal Parliament representing the ruling Nepal Communist Party.

Police issued the arrest warrant against Gurung following the ruling of the Kathmandu District Court. Earlier, Khadka had lodged a complaint at the police accusing Gurung of assaulting him in Kathmandu.
