Police confiscate unsourced money from TIA

KATHMANDU, Jan 30: Police on Friday night arrested an individual with illegal money from the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

KATHMANDU, Jan 30: Police on Friday night arrested an individual with illegal money from the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).



According to police, Ashish Khati Chhetri, 28, of Kalanki Metropolitan-14, was arrested with Rs 1 million and USD 1,500 from the airport.

“During a security check, police found the unsourced money in the luggage of Khati,” said police.


Khati was about to board a Nepal Airlines flight to Dubai.


Further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
