Police confiscate Rs 4 million illegal money, one arrested

KATHMANDU, Nov 6: Police have confiscated Rs 4 million illegal money from the Naghdhunga area in Kathmandu.

KATHMANDU, Nov 6: Police have confiscated Rs 4 million illegal money from the Naghdhunga area in Kathmandu.



During a security check, Metropolitan Police Sector, Nagdhunga, found Rs 4 million cash in a bus with registration number Lu 1 Kha 8652. Police also arrested Byas Gupta, 40, a resident of Palhinandan Rural Municipality-2 in Nawalparasi West, on the charge of possessing the illegal money.

According to police, 4,000 units of Rs 1,000 notes have been confiscated from the arrested.


The arrested has been kept in custody for further investigation into the case, police said.
