One arrested for breaking ATM

KATHMANDU, July 29: Police have arrested a person while trying to break an ATM machine of Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited located in Balaju Chowk.

KATHMANDU, July 29: Police have arrested a person while trying to break an ATM machine of Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited located in Balaju Chowk.



Police have taken control of Radhe Shyam Baitha, 18, from Yamunamai Rural Municipality-1, Rautahat and currently residing in Kalanki, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-14. Police also recovered an iron rod from his possession.

Police said that Baitha has been kept in Balaju Police Station for further investigation.


According to the police, a team was deployed to Balaju at around 2:44 AM on Sunday morning based on information about someone attempting to break the ATM belonging to Machhapuchhre Bank Limited. During the operation, Baitha was arrested red handed while attempting to steal cash from the machine after breaking it.


Further investigation against Baitha is underway, as reported by the Balaju Police.
