KALIKOT, Dec 29: A signature campaign has been launched to seek justice for Niru BK, who was murdered after being raped more than a year ago.
The campaigners have demanded strong action against the culprits for the rape and murder of the 16-year-old girl from Goralbada in Khandachakra Municipality-6 of Kalikot district.

Starting the signature collection campaign from Pratimachowk of Manma Bazar in Khandachakra Municipality of Kalikot on Thursday, they have demanded the authorities concerned to identify the criminals who committed heinous crimes.
Niru BK, who had gone to see a fair, was raped and murdered on August 20, 2021. Her semi-naked body was found in a corn field near her home three days later.
Even 16 months after Niru BK, a ninth-grader, was raped and killed, the killers are yet to be identified. The victim's family is feeling insecure as the police has not taken the murder of a Dalit girl after her rape seriously.
