KATHMANDU, August 17: Shivaraj Shrestha, who is accused of Niharika Rajput rape case, has been arrested by police.
Shrestha was arrested by a joint team of Kathmandu Valley Crime Division and District Police Office, Dhanusa.

Niharika Rajput of Dhanusa has alleged that a child was born as a result of the rape. While calling for action against the accused Shrestha, Rajput has also demanded a DNA test of the child.
She was on fast unto death earlier in Maitighar Mandala and Basantpur in Kathmandu. She also tried to self-immolate in front of the President’s Office earlier last week.
