DOLKHA, May 15: In Jiri Municipality, Nepali Congress is ahead of other parties according to the votes counted so far.
Nepali Congress Mayoral Candidate Sonam Shrestha has secured 301 votes, Maoist Center Gelbu Shrestha 166 and UML candidate Tanka Jirel 136 so far.

At Ward-1 of Jiri Municipality, Nepal Congress chairperson candidate Lakpa Sherpa has won the election. In addition, all the elected ward members belong to Nepali Congress.
Lakpa Shrestha secured 297 votes whereas his closest opponent Sange Sherpa from Maoist Center received 182 votes.
