GAIGHAT (UDAYPUR), July 7: The CPN (UML) candidate to the post of mayor has been elected in the local level election at Triyuga Municipality in the district.
The UML candidate Baldev Chaudhary has been elected as the mayor receiving 11,368 while his closed rival from Nepali Congress Basanta Basnet got 11,295 votes.
Similarly, NC's Devi Chaudhary has been elected to the post of the deputy mayor receiving 11,322 votes, while her nearest rival UML's Geeta Regmi got 11,278 votes. RSS
