DHANGADHI, July, 8: Nepali Congress has clinched both mayoral and deputy mayoral posts in the only sub-metropolitan city in Province-7-Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City.

DHANGADHI, July, 8: Nepali Congress(NC) has clinched both mayoral and deputy mayoral posts in the only sub-metropolitan city in Province-7-Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City.

NC mayoral candidate Nripa Bada has won the race for the mayor of Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City defeating his closest rival independent candidate Gopal Hamal. Bada got 14,324 while his nearest rival Hamal secured 11, 527 votes.


Likewise, NC deputy mayoral candidate Shushila Mishra Bhatta has been elected to Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City. She garnered 17,408 votes while her nearest rival CPN-UML deputy mayoral candidate Rukmani Devkota got 12,773 votes.
