KATHMANDU, May 2: Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) has been left without a vice-chancellor (VC) for about four months.
NAST has been without a VC after the end of the tenure of the last VC Dr Sunil Babu Shrestha that ended in mid-January.

There is a provision that the VC of NAST should be appointed by the Chancellor (Prime Minister) from among the persons recommended by the recommendation committee of two intellectual members under the coordination of the Assistant VC (Education Minister).
According to the sources, it is said that the process of appointment has not been started yet.
