TANAHUN, Dec 19: Police have arrested a woman on the charge of murdering her own newborn at Dordor in Bhanu municipality in the district.
The arrested is 37-year-old Laxmi Gandarva. Locals had informed the police after they found a newborn dumped after murder at Bhanu-3, Chandithok on Tuesday

“Laxmi was arrested in the course of investigation. She confessed to have murdered her own newborn after delivering it, said SP Siddhibikram Shah, chief of Tanahun District Police Office.
Her husband is in Qatar for foreign employment since the last four years.
The investigation has shown that she must have delivered the baby through an illicit love affair.
