BHOJPUR, May 29: A mother in Bhojpur murdered her 22 months old son with a sharp weapon on Tuesday.
Son kills mother with firewood
Samjhana Thapa, 25, of Panityanki, in the district headquarters of Bhojpur allegedly chopped her son Sambodhan with a Khukuri at around 7 am. Thapa's family was living at the house of her brother-in-law in Panityaki of Ram Prasad Rai Rural Municipality. Surya Bahadur Thapa, the father of the deceased, works for a microfinance company, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Keshav Kumar Thebe of Bhojpur Police.
It has been learnt that Surya Bahadur is currently out of the district headquarters due to an official work. Police have already arrested Samjhana while the dead body of the child has been sent to the District Hospital, Bhojpur for a postmortem. Police have expedited the investigation into the alleged murder of the toddler by his own mother.
