KATHMANDU, Aug 18: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, a part of Mahindra Group based in India, has launched a new brand of electric rickshaw, e-Alfa Mini, on Friday.

Issuing a statement on Friday, the company said that the rickshaw, with a 4+1 seating capacity, will be available in Butwal, Bhairahawa, Lahan, and Biratnagar. It gives a mileage of 85 km on a single charge, with a speed 25 km per hour. It is powered by a 48V, 120Ah battery, and 1000W motor, added the statement.
The electric rickshaw comes with two years' overall warranty, six months warranty in battery and six months of free servicing.
