MAKWANPUR, Jun 8: A man died and two others sustained serious injuries in a lightning strike that struck in Gadhi rural municipality in the district on Friday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as 60-year-old Thuli Maya Negi of Ghadi rural municipality-2, said DSP Dilip Raj Jha.

Those injured in the incident are Chini Maya Lo, 32, and Buddha Laxmi Dimdrung, 45, of the same rural municipality, informed District Police Office, Makwanpur.
According to DSP Jha, they were walking in the rain when the lightning struck them.
