KATHMANDU, Dec 24: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Monday filed a graft-case at the Special Court against 16 individuals including Kamal Prasad Timalsina, chief of Land Revenue Office, Chabahil for their alleged involvement in transferring the land ownership illegally.
According to a press release issued by the anti-graft body, Chandan Krishna Kayastha alias Raju Thapa Magar, acquired the land ownership certificate of 2 ropanis and 8 anas of land (plots No. 323, 325 and 329) located in Budhanilkantha Municipality by bribing officials of Land Revenue Office, Chabahil through illegal means.

Those involved in the land graft-case include officials of Land Revenue Office, Chabahil Kagendra Prasad Aryal, Ram Prasad Subedi, Ranjan Kumar Kharel, Jamuna Kumari Shrestha, Hari Khadka.
Similarly, Chandan Krishna Kayastha aka Raj Kumar Thapa Magar, Sanebhai Shrestha, Shree Krishna Baruwal, Bhupal Moktan alias Bhupal Singh Tamang, Dhruba Prasad Bhattarai , Pradip Prasad Gautam, Nabadurga Prasad Dhungel, Suresh Kumar Thapa and Sanish Sapkota, a trailer of Sanima Bank, Ekantakuna, Lalitpur have been mentioned as defendants in the case.
They have been charged under The Prevention of Corruption Act, 2002.
