Gothatar shooting victim dies

KATHMANDU, Sept 20: Lal Mohammad, who was seriously injured in a shootout that took place in Gothatar of Kageshwori Manohara Municipality-8, Kathmandu, passed away while undergoing treatment at TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj late Monday evening.

KATHMANDU, Sept 20: Lal Mohammad, who was seriously injured in a shootout that took place in Gothatar of Kageshwori Manohara Municipality-8, Kathmandu, passed away while undergoing treatment at TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj late Monday evening.



The 55-year-old was a resident of Hariwan Municipality-2 of Sarlahi was shot at by a group of assailants on Monday evening. Mohammad, who was taken to TU Teaching Hospital Maharajgunj after being shot in the head and thigh, died during treatment, SP Dineshraj Mainali at District Police Office, Kathmandu, said.

A team including Chief of District Police Range Kathmandu, SP Bharat Bahadur Bohara and Chief of Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office Janak Bhattarai had reached the incident site. Efforts are underway to nab the shooters, who have remained at large after the incident.
