JITPUR, KAPILVASTU, Oct 1: A girl drowned in a local river in the district on Sunday morning, the police said.

Roshani Shukla, 18, of Maharajgunj Municipality-7 drowned when she had gone to the river to immerse the idol of goddess Durga, said the Area Police Office, Bahadurgunj, adding that Shukla's body has been sent to local Shivaraj Hospital for a post-mortem.(RSS)
