HETAUDA, March 10: CPN-UML has resumed the Mechi-Mahakali campaign from Hetauda on Friday.
The campaign was suspended for three days after the violence in Saptari during the mass meeting of the party as a part of the campaign.
Speaking at the program, the party leaders have reiterated their voice against the constitution amendment. They affirmed that the tolerance of the party during the Saptari incident is not the weakness of the party.

Speaking at the program, party chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said that the Mechi-Mahakali campaign is for the unity and the harmony among the Nepali. To protest against the campaign is anti-cultural trend.
"We move ahead though they protested with black flag. We put forward our views. It was not necessary to disturb the program. Why should they spoil our program?" questioned leader Oli.
The constitution amendment bill is to protect those who hold natural citizenship, not for the marginalized citizen, claimed chairman Oli and added that his party will not help the government to pass the amendment bill from the Parliament.
"The amendment is not need of the country, rather it is directed by outer force, for which CPN-UML will not allow to endorse the bill from the Parliament", said Oli adding that CPN-UML will always oppose the activities against the national interest.
He reiterated that CPN-UML will continue the campaign peacefully.
Speaking at the same program, General Secretary of the party, Ishwor Pokharel claimed that the Saptari incident was plotted to attack the top leaders of the CPN-UML. The party started the campaign from March 4 from Jhapa.
The party will hold mass meeting in Chitwan on Saturday as a part of the campaign. The program of Hetauda on Friday was as per scheduled date.
