BIRATNAGAR, August 26: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the Citizenship Amendment Bill passed by the parliament will be authenticated by President Bidya Devi Bhandari.
Talking to media persons at Biratnagar Airport on Friday, Chairman Dahal said that the Citizenship Bill will be authenticated soon by President Bhandari. Dahal made it clear that even though the president's unusual behavior, including meeting the army officers has stirred up controversy there is no serious issue in the Citizenship Bill. "It will not be as it has been discussed outside. The President will authenticate the Citizenship Bill," he said.

Chairman Dahal clarified that his party's claim will be on all 165 seats in the parliamentary elections and all the coalition parties will be saved and the seat distribution will be finalized. He also claimed that the seat allocation could be completed by August 31. "The issue of seat distribution among the coalition parties will be decided by August 31," he said.
