KATHMANDU, Feb 7: Bibeksheel Sajha Party on Sunday urged the authorities concerned including the local administration to bring to justice the guilty in the alleged rape and subsequent murder of a 17-year-old girl, Bhagarathi Bhatta of Dogadakedar Rural Municipality, Baitadi district.
In a press statement, the party demanded a fair probe into the incident without any further delay stating that it could be a case of murder after rape.
"The Bibeksheel Sajha Party is disheartened by the incident of the brutal killing of Bhatta. We extend our sincere condolences to the bereaved family members and pay tribute to the deceased girl," reads the press statement.

The party also expressed solidarity with the peaceful campaign being launched in various parts of the country including Baitadi and Kanchanpur, seeking action against those involved in the murder of Bhatta.
In the press statement, the party concluded that the government has totally failed to save the people's lives and maintain law and order across the country.
Moreover, it has urged people from civil society and local committees of various parties to meticulously observe the ongoing investigation launched by the local administration and police into the murder of Bhatta.
