Similarly, the same meeting also decided to hold the district associations' elections within a span of one month between December 20 this year and January 20 next year.

ANFA informed that the new dates have been fixed with the approval of world football governing body FIFA and Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

Earlier, ANFA scheduled to hold its district associations' elections between November 11 and December 11, and central committee election on January 25, 2018. However, ANFA proposed new dates citing the national elections.

FIFA had also written a letter to ANFA on December 1 seeking clarifications over postponing the elections and warning to scrap the Nepali football governing body's membership.
