KATHMANDU, Feb 29: Khumaltar Youth Club decimated 10-men Ranipokhari Corner Team (RCT) 3-0 in the ongoing Martyr’s Memorial B-Division League held at Lalitpur on Friday.
In a match played at All Nepal Football Association’s sports complex, Khumaltar took advantage of RCT going one man down in the first half to secure its second win in a row. Sabin KC scored twice whereas player-of-the-match Mahesh Rai ended the match with a goal in the convincing win.
One arrested for murder
RCT captain Amar Dangol received a red card in the 39th minute of the match handicapping the losing team, early in the match.
Earlier, Khumaltar collected six points in two matches after it had defeated Madhyapur Youth Association 1-0 in the first match. RCT has one point in two matches with its first match being held 1-1 for a draw by Jhamsikhel Youth Club.
In the other match of the day. Sachu Gurung’s hat-trick inspired NayaBasti Youth Club’s 5-1 demolition of Jhamsikhel on Friday. Sajan Rai and Suman Yungja added a goal each for NayaBasti in a dominating win. Madan Syangtan had scored a solitary goal for Jhamsikhel in the match.
