Youth held with 17 kg gold

LAMJUNG, Nov 2: Police have arrested a youth with 17 kilograms of gold from Khudi Bazaar, northern Village Development Committee of the district. The arrested is 31-year-old Pasang Lama of Danakyu of Nasong Rural Municipality.

LAMJUNG, Nov 2: Police have arrested a youth with 17 kilograms of gold from Khudi Bazaar, northern Village Development Committee of the district. The arrested is 31-year-old Pasang Lama of Danakyu of Nasong Rural Municipality. 



The gold must have been brought to Nepal through Nepal-China border Manang, said police.

Lama was intercepted with the gold during a security check while he was heading to Besisahar on a motorbike from Manang.


According to DSP Padam Bahadur Bista, Lama was carrying 17 pieces of lockets concealed in a bag.
