KATHMANDU, July 31: A youth has died in the custody of the Area Police Office, Kakarvitta of Jhapa.
Jhak Bahadur Khadka, 28, arrested for possession of the illegal drug brown sugar, of Paliya, Mechinagar Municipality, was ill around 1:30 AM last night. He was rushed to AMDA Mechi Hospital in Dhulabari.

According to Krishna Chand, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Khadka died while undergoing treatment.
He was arrested on July 28 for possessing 5 grams of brown sugar from Mechinagar.
The District Court of Jhapa had extended his judicial custody by five days for further investigation. He was taken to Kakarvitta.
