Woman dies in scooter-tripper collision

KATHMANDU, June 23: A woman who was injured, died after a scooter collided with a road tripper near a sky bridge in Jadibuti, Kathmandu Municipality-32.

KATHMANDU, June 23: A woman who was injured, died after a scooter collided with a road tripper near a sky bridge in Jadibuti, Kathmandu Municipality-32.



A 43 year-old Laxmi Shrestha from Sanagau, Lalitpur, who was pillion-riding the scooter was injured when the tripper (Ba 3 Ka 3053) and the scooter (Ba Pra 02-039 pa 9952) collided with each other.

A severely injured Shrestha died in the course of treatment at the Trauma Center. The scooter rider who was seriously injured in the accident is undergoing treatment at the same hospital, according to the Spokesperson of Nepal Police, Deputy Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki.


DIG Karki said that the tipper driver has been taken into custody and necessary action is being taken.
