With 18 new cases, COVID-19 tally in Karnali Province soars to 123

SURKHET, May 31: With 18 new cases of coronavirus on Sunday morning, the number of people infected by coronavirus has climbed to 123 in the Karnali Province, officials said.

SURKHET, May 31: With 18 new cases of coronavirus on Sunday morning, the number of people infected by coronavirus has climbed to 123 in the Karnali Province, officials said.



Earlier on Saturday, the province witnessed 33 new cases of COVID-19.

Nawaraj Kandel, the chief of the Public Health Section at the Ministry of Social Development of the province, said that people from Surkhet, Salyan, Dailekh and Bajura districts have been diagnosed with the viral disease. 


On Saturday, the province reported the first COVID-19 death. The throat swab of a 35-year-old man from Dailekh who died at a quarantine facility in Dullu tested positive for virus on Saturday evening.
