According to Mahato, the issues of Citizenship Bill and the demands made by LSP were also discussed during the meeting. The LSP has demanded the government to cancel the false charges filed during the Madhesh movement. "The Prime Minister has replied that the government has started the process to revoke false cases filed against their party cadres during the Madhesh movement," Mahato said.

According to LSP sources, LSP is ready to Join the Deuba-led government. Earlier in the meeting with Deuba, Deuba proposed Thakur to cooperate in the government matters as well. Sharad Singh Bhandari and Anil Jha want to become ministers from LSP if the party decides to join the government.

Another LSP leader said, “The Prime Minister’s proposal to bring LSP into the 5-party alliance and the government has confused us. Now, we need a clear answer so that we can also make a decision.”

After the local level elections, LSP president Thakur and Deuba have held several meetings. According to a LSP leader, he has met with Deuba five times since the election.
