Why was there no census in Limpiyadhura, Kalapani and Lipulekh?: Kunwar

KATHMANDU, March 26: CPN (Unified Socialist) MP Sher Bahadur Kunwar has raised the issue of no census in the Nepali territory encroached upon by India in Parliament.

KATHMANDU, March 26: CPN (Unified Socialist) MP Sher Bahadur Kunwar has raised the issue of no census in the Nepali territory encroached upon by India in Parliament.



While speaking at the zero hour of the Parliament meeting on Sunday, he said that the population of the country has reached more than 29 million, but he raised a question asking why the census was not conducted in Limpiyadhura, Kalapani and Lipulekh.

"When the population of Nepal is being published, why were those living in Limpiyadhura, Kalapani and Lipulekh not counted?" he asked, "Why was the census of the geography of our country not done? In 2018 BS the census was conducted in those areas.”
