KATHMANDU, May 1: The Meteorological Forecasting Division warned of heavy rainfall with thunder and lightning in parts of the country today.
According to the division, heavy rain is mainly due to the effect of westerlies and local wind, as well as low-pressure belts formed in the eastern region.
WEATHER ALERT: Rain and snowfall forecast for next three days
Weather in the western part of the country will completely change while the central and eastern region is expected to witness a slight change during the day on Friday. Some parts of the country will see thunderstorms. Similarly, during the night, thunderstorms is expected in few parts of western hills and in most of the parts of central and eastern regions.
The division forecasts rainfall for the next three days--Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with thunder, lightning and storms.
