KATHMANDU, June 21: Former media personality Ravi Lamichhane has opened a new political party - the National Independent Party and publicized the party's proposed election symbol - a bell.

Announcing the party's election symbol, Lamichhane said, "We will ring the bell in the minds of the corrupt." He also mentioned that he has come to clean the dirty politics of the country.
Lamichhane announced the National Independent Party amidst an event organized at the City Hall today.
