We will proceed according to the law regarding Sandeep's return to the team: CAN President

KATHMANDU, Jan 26: Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) has said that it will proceed according to law in Nepal regarding the return of the suspended cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane to the team.

KATHMANDU, Jan 26: Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) has said that it will proceed according to law in Nepal regarding the return of the suspended cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane to the team.



Speaking at a press conference organized by the CAAN on Thursday, CAAN President Chatur Bahadur Chand said that they will proceed as per the existing laws of Nepal regarding Lamichhane, who faces a trial on charge of raping a minor.

"The ICC has also said to do according to what the law of Nepal says," he said. “We are discussing what to do now.”


Sandeep, who was incarcerated on charges of rape, was released by the Patan High Court on 10 conditions and a bond of Rs 20 lakh.
