KATHMANDU, Sept 4: New Diamond Volleyball Club's coach Kumar Rai has been feted by the Nawa Adarsha Samudayik Bikas Samaj in Lamachaur, Pokhara on Sunday. Nawa Adarsha feted Rai for his contribution to the Nepali volleyball on the occasion of Teej. Kendra's President Dharma Man Bhandari, Family Planning Association of Nepal (FPAN)'s President Amu Singh Sijapati among others feted coach Rai.
Volleyball's Mali, Rai felicitated
According to the Nawa Adarsha, Rai of Sankhuwasabha Municipality - 16, was feted for his long contribution to the development of Nepali volleyball.
Rai is currently a coach of New Diamond Volleyball Club who had leaded club to win the Women's Volleyball League organized by the Nepal Volleyball Association. Similarly under the coaching of Rai, New Diamond has won the Women's Volleyball Championship which is currently ongoing in Lamachaur, Pokhara for record three time.
