KATHMANDU, Feb 23: Veteran folk singer Jayananda Lama has passed away.

Family members confirmed that singer Lama died at Kaushaltar in Bhaktapur this morning. He is a permanent resident of Barhabise Municipality-2 Dharpa, Sindhupalchok.
Lama, who started his singing career five decades ago, is a renowned folk singer, compiler, actor, producer and director.
