Unidentified group torches school bus in Bharatpur

CHITWAN, May 12: An unidentified group set fire to a bus belonging to Small Heaven School, Kalyanpur. The bus was en route to pick up students from Dadreni, Bharatpur Metropolitan City-26, in Chitwan.

CHITWAN, May 12: An unidentified group set fire to a bus belonging to Small Heaven School, Kalyanpur. The bus was en route to pick up students from Dadreni, Bharatpur Metropolitan City-26, in Chitwan.



According to the information provided by the school, a group of six people set the bus (Ba Pra 06-001 Ka 0045) on fire.

The bus was completely damaged in the fire. A group of 6 people who came on three motorbikes sprinkled petrol on the bus and set it on fire. All of them are absconding.


In addition to torching the bus, the assailants also stole the co-driver's mobile phone, issuing threats before departing. The co-driver reported that the group warned, "We had said that we will take action. We did what we said."


The District Police Office, Chitwan, has dispatched a team to further investigate the incident.
