KATHMANDU, August 9: A Standing Committee meeting of CPN-UML has passed a statute amendment proposal.
The meeting of the SC members close to Chairman KP Sharma Oli was held at Tulsidas Memorial Academy at Chasal at Lalitpur on Monday.

“The proposal has been endorsed by the SC meeting. This now waits to be endorsed by the Central Committee,” said Vice Chairman of the party, Bam Dev Gautam.
The CC meeting is due to be held at the same place later this afternoon. The meeting is likely to endorse the proposal endorsed earlier by the Standing Committee meeting.
