KATHMANDU, March 24: The CPN-UML has finalized its candidates for the upcoming by-elections scheduled for April 24.

During a secretariat meeting held on Sunday, the party announced Suhang Nembang as its candidate for the Ilam Constituency-2.
Suhang Nembang, the son of UML leader Subash Chandra Nembang, will contest the by-election. Subash Chandra Nembang emerged victorious from the same constituency in the general elections held on November 20, 2022.
