UDAYAPUR, June 19: A motorcyclist and the pillion rider died when a motorcycle collided head-on with a tipper in Udayapur on Wednesday morning.

The deceased have been identified as Jivan Rai, aged 37 and Khagendra Rai, aged 36 of Chaudandigadhi-4, Barkhedanda.
The ill-fated motorcycle (Sa 4 Pa 369) was en-route to Gaighat from Chaudandigadhi when it collided with the tipper truck (Ba 2 Ka 709), according to Police Inspector Amar Gajmere. Police have taken under control the tipper. The tipper driver has remained absconding following the incident.
