KATHMANDU, Sept 19:Two people died in two different incidents in Banke district.
One died in Rapti-Sonari Rural Municipality due to electric shock. Another died after drowning in a canal in Kholapur Municipality.

Bhuddiman Lama, 73, of Raptisonari-8 Shamsherganj died due to an electric shock, said the Area Police Office, Kohlpur. According to the police, Lama was electrocuted while connecting the wire to the motor for drawing water. She died in the course of treatment.
Similarly, Akash Giri,11 of Kohalpur-8, died after drowning in the canal of Sikta irrigation project. Deputy Superintendent of Police Ain Bahadur Malla said that the body of Giri, who was missing since Saturday, was found in the canal only on Sunday evening
